I am an English teacher, turned researcher, turned game maker, on a quest to make game-based learning mainstream.

I currently work as COO with the most awesome collection of geeks at 5 More Minutes & TeacherGaming LLC, the company behind MinecraftEdu & KerbalEdu. Working in a startup company, I'm involved in pretty much everything that goes on with our projects. My job is to make sure they all serve our overall goals and facilitate the use of games in classroom.

I've previously worked at University of Tampere as a research assistant with Active Learning Spaces -project and FUN: A Finland-U.S. Network for Engagement and STEM Learning in Games.

I wrote my thesis on Minecraft and language learning. My other publications can be found here (plus a few my sister wrote about zebra fish and DNA, thanks Google Scholar).
