Kurt Vonnegut once said, “To practice any art, no matter how well or how badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake. So do it.” This quote has been a guiding principle in my journey as a musician and artist, reminding me that creativity is not about perfection but about growth, expression, and passion.

Growing up, I had no formal musical background, yet music found its way into my life. For the past 12 years, I have been actively involved in choirs, a commitment that continues to this day. At 13, I joined my high school’s musical theatre group, where I developed my skills in performance and stage presence. Throughout the years, I participated in various competitions, gaining confidence and experience. Additionally, I became a member of my church’s worship team, where I sang every Sunday, deepening my connection to music as a form of expression and devotion.

In senior high school, I pursued the Arts and Design track, which broadened my understanding of the arts beyond music. I explored dance, drama, multimedia arts, and creative expression in various forms. This experience solidified my passion and encouraged me to pursue music academically.

Today, I am a music student at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, specializing in Western classical music. While my studies remain my priority, I have also expanded my interests into event organizing and freelance writing. More recently, I discovered a love for designing and creating jewelry, allowing me to explore art through a different medium.

Through these experiences, I have learned that artistic expression, in any form, nurtures the soul. No matter the skill level, practicing art fosters creativity, personal growth, and a deeper connection to oneself and the world.
