ABOUT ME

Hey, I'm Mikay!

Mikala “Mikay” Lenae' Morgan

Born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana, I come from a family that has always prioritized purpose and mission. This upbringing, immersed in creativity and service, has profoundly shaped my outlook on life and continues to inspire my work today.

My journey led me to Baton Rouge, where I earned my degree in Broadcast Journalism from LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication in 2017. Along the way, I gained invaluable experiences in work ethic, values, storytelling, pageantry, sisterhood and philanthropy through my sorority Delta Zeta (Sigma); serving as social media chair for the Miss LSU-USA Pageant alongside my reign as the 48th Annual Louisiana Swine Festival Queen and 2015 Miss Louisiana Mardi Gras.

These experiences laid the foundation for my continued work in digital marketing, strategic communications, community leadership, and philanthropic engagement across South Louisiana. Today, I’m honored to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for Karnival Krewe de Louisiane (KKdL), a Baton Rouge Mardi Gras organization committed to raising funds for cancer research and patient care through Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. In addition to my professional work, I enjoy writing and exploring innovative digital concepts, marketing theories, and creative communication ideas on my personal blog, including projects such as the Digital M Generation Theory and ♛mik.ai, focused on generational behavior, training human centered AI, storytelling, and the evolving relationship between technology and digital connection.

The work I’m most proud of has always centered around mission driven messaging, Louisiana culture, and the human side of digital marketing.👑💫🎗️🪄
