Mikayla is filled with magical ambitions and has been a dreamer since 1998. She was given a different perspective on life at only 9 years old when her mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer; which a year and a half later, took her mother's life. Growing up without a mom was an utterly heart wrenching tragedy, causing Mikayla to soon face doses of Anxiety and Depression starting at the age of 13. This led to many peers misunderstanding and alienating her throughout the years, which made her question her identity and self-worth. Although her struggles do not define her, they do inspire her to write songs about what she is going through to help herself heal and help others get through their journey. If the people closest to her had to describe her personality in one word they would probably say something along the lines of, quirky or compassionate. She isn't afraid to be herself and she wants to show others that there is hope and you CAN achieve anything if you set your mind to it. Real dreams cannot be crushed by anyones words or actions. She encourages everyone she meets to follow their hearts and live with as much passion they can!
