Mikayla Williams

Greetings! I am Mikayla Williams, and I am currently a full-time student at Bergen Community College. I would describe myself as ambitious, hardworking, and determined, aside from being a student, I work 2 jobs. Both of my jobs require me to work with children which I find pleasure in because I believe it takes someone special to help shape little minds, and I have the privilege to do so. I learn something new from the children that I work with every day, and it amazes me more each time. I am currently seeking an internship or volunteer position with an athletic trainer or shadowing a kinesiologist, as I am currently studying sports health and wellness with goals to study kinesiology and psychology at my 4-year institution. I decided to study kinesiology during my first semester of college at Hampton University, I never knew that I'd enjoyed anatomy until I sat in my 3-hour lectures every Tuesday and never grew bored of the subject, and I've grown very fond of it ever since. I enjoy listening to the podcast “Affirmations For Black Girls” hosted by actress Tyra Morrisson as a way to start my day off right, and I have recently made it my mission to read for at least 25 minutes before my day ends. I enjoy reading books that teach me life lessons, and that help build personal development. Thank you for taking the time to review my profile, I hope that we get to meet soon!
