I came to recruiting over 7 years ago and I have worked in both agency and corporate settings. I have a passion for being the best that I can be at what I do. Recruiting has given me the ability to connect some amazing people to opportunities that genuinely improved their lives. That has been the most rewarding aspect of my work.
I enjoy the moment in a search when you know that you have identified the right candidate. From that point I have come to understand and appreciate the importance of candidate experience. Taking care of the candidate during the recruiting process is just as important as identifying the right candidate. As a result, organization and communication have become the backbone of my recruiting process.
In my career I have conducted over 800 in person interviews and 2,500 phone interviews. I have developed a system of interviewing that has allowed me to gain the trust of my hiring managers. Connecting with a large number of people has helped me build a significant network over time. My network now includes more than 4,000 professionals with backgrounds in recruiting, software engineering and accounting.
I have been fortunate to have had a diversity of experiences in my career. I have been able to build a college recruiting program, learn advanced sourcing techniques, mentor other recruiters, speak publicly, sit on a corporate culture committee and most recently finish an eBook about recruiting strategies. "Becoming the Silver Bullet: Recruiting Strategies for Connecting with Top Talent" is now available here. https://www.facebook.com/becomingthesilverbullet
