Hi. I'm Mike - founder, CEO and strategy guy at DENT agency. And as highfalutin as that sounds, the one thing I know is that I don't know much. Hence, student.

At DENT I lead strategy and ensure we exceed client expectations. My advertising/marketing experience covers myriad categories and brands, from tech to toys and start-ups to multi-billion dollar brands – all done with a passion and dedication found in those who truly love this business. I've worked at small, creative shops and large global agencies, including Ogilvy and FCB, and was EVP General Manager at the largest agency brand in the world, Dentsu. As GM of the LA office we built a superb West Coast team while growing an enviable client roster and increasing billings every year. I left at the end of our best year ever, returning to what I like to do most, which is work directly with clients (and less with corporate stuff) leading a nimble, clever, fervent team of well-experienced professionals. Hence, DENT.​

I am a lifelong surfer/motorcyclist. I enjoy surf travel and have explored Central America and Mexico extensively, penning a couple of best-selling surf travel books. (How they became so popular I'll never know!) I recently merged those joys, rigging a motorbike for surf travel to explore the length of the Baja peninsula, solo, because I couldn't find anyone to join me. I'm always looking forward to my next Central America surf trip or motorcycle track day and I am still looking for someone to join me on my next Baja motosurf trip. In the meantime, you can find me in my garage working on one of my five Ducatis or surfmoto Suzuki. (Yah, right. I'm at my desk working on an analytics report.)
