Currently job seeking while self-employed through two sole consultancies, Wasteland Creative LLC and Ripple Pie Media LLC. Seeking full-time transition back into the sports industry where bulk of career has been spent.
Working career career started in 1990 at the PGA of America following graduation from Oklahoma State University. After two-plus years of media relations management at events such as the Ryder Cup Matches and PGA Championship, joined the communications staff of Golden Bear International (GBI) in 1992. GBI (now the Nicklaus Companies) functions as the career management and business entity of legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus.
In 1996, moved from South Florida to Dallas and joined Cornerstone Sports to primarily manage media/PR for Phil Mickelson. Following corporate changes in and around the company in 1999, established own independent firm, Sports Communications Group (SCG), with Justin Leonard as first client.
During a sabbatical from full-time sports business, managed various short-term projects and served as Operations Director of Life in Deep Ellum, a cultural center in Urban Dallas, from 2007-2009.
Currently reside in Dallas with son, Chase. Born in Northwest Arkansas and grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma; living six years in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, before moving to Dallas in 1996.
