Mike is a Bachelor of Science graduate from Duquesne University with a major in Computer Science and minor in Mathematics. He has experience programming in Java, Objective C, and HTML as well as iOS app design.
Mike has been involved with computers ever since he was six years old. At the age of ten, he took apart and rebuilt the home computer. At the age of twelve, Mike was running presentations for his grade school assemblies. He would also help fix computer at his school.
In highschool, Mike took C++ and Java programming classes. He was also involved with the school news as the Technical Director and created a new graphics set for the news.
Mike has had a variety of jobs. He currently works as a Software Engineer at mcaConnect—a Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP Consulting company.
He previously worked at the Borough of West Mifflin as a System Administrator. He started at the borough as a Intern. There he is responsible for monitoring and ensuring hardware efficiency and systems performance as well as provides 24/7 support of their system. He also has made evaluations and recommendations to improve their system's server and workstation computers. Furthermore, Mike setup a new website for them and has modified existing and created interactive form/programs for department. He was also responsible for moving and ensuring a small downtime when moving buildings. At the new location, he is also responsible for saving money on a display TV in the lobby. He is also responsible for the security system for the building. Overall, Mike is responsible for keeping the system running efficiently daily.
Mike also worked at BDT Computing Solutions. As a Computer Technician, he had to troubleshoot software and hardware problems. Mike was also responsible for running the shop, building and refurbishing computers, and working with clients on their computer needs.
At Community Day, Mike helped the Maintenance Department go green by creating an electronic work order system. He also troubleshooted the phone system and call upon to help bring the computer network back online when the Technology Director was not available.
Mike also worked for the Computer Science and Mathematics department at Duquesne University as a Tutor for Computer Science classes. Mike also does freelance work, such as a video project for The Upper Room Group.
