Mike Donahue has been playing the drums for
over 20 years and has had the pleasure of studying with the likes of Ray Marchia (Broadway's Momma Mia & Top Rated NYC drummer) jazz drumming legend Joe Morello. Mike Donahue is a in demand session drummer, clinician, educator and sideman from the NY/NJ area. Mike is know for his high energy and inspiring clinics in both schools and music stores throughout the country. His instructional methods & techniques have also made him a successful drum instructor. Mike introduces teaching techniques from other avenues of life that have proved successful and applies them to the world of drumming. His methods are truly unique and effective and have proven to be beneficial to students of all levels.
His musical experience has taken him through practically every musical genre and Mike continues to define himself as a drummer and explore the endless creative outlets in the world of music.
Mike actively works with schools, camps and any organization that can benefit from his free drum clinic " Chasing Your Dreams 1 Beat At A Time". It's been proven that Music is a powerful tool and through his motivational clinics Mike harnesses that power and not only teaches but shows kids and audience members that anything is possible. Mike also holds charity drum clinics to raise money for great causes. Mike helps other drummers hone their skills both on the kit and on the business side of he industry with a high energy and information packed workshop called Impact Moment.

Mike is also an ambassador for a charity called Strike A Chord. Strike A Chord makes a difference in seriously ill children's lives through donating instruments and professional music tutoring. For kids who have a dream to play on stage, we offer them the chance to play live with a band, and even record music through our unique Music 4 Life program.
