Mike Flaville wants to be remembered as compassionate, thoughtful, funny, and patriotic. He loves serving his country and is passionate about leadership and his ability to influence people and situations in a positive way. He helps people reach their full potential as he loves pushing himself to do the same. He spends his free time volunteering at his church, the SPCA, and within the aviation community. Flaville was a volunteer firefighter for several years and continues to support firemen, police, and EMS through fundraisers and charity events. He is an active member of AMvets, American Legion, and VFW. Flaville is also a volunteer of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and has recently been involved with Liberty War Birds association for a while.
Flaville started his aviation career by joining the U.S. Army as a Fire Support Specialist AIR-Assault in 1996. He received an Army Commendation Medal and was the most digitally proficient Forward Observer. Flaville became an Avionics Technician for the Coast Guard in 2000 until he pursued his interests in aviation in the private sector as an Avionics Technician for the Millville Jet Center, LSI, URS, and then for Boeing. In 2011, Flaville began his work for The Federal Aviation Administration. He worked as an Airway Transportation System Specialist (ATSS) RADAR/Automation Specialist and is now an SCC Coordinator in Harrisburg, PA.. In 2016, Flaville earned the title of Senior Member at the Civil Air Patrol U.S. Air Force Auxiliary. He provides squadron cadets with aerospace education, team-building exercises, land navigation knowledge, land and water survival skills, and emergency services training. His goal is to become Squadron Finance Officer and Emergency Services Officer and believes the classes the Civil Air Patrol are providing will help him achieve these titles. Flaville is currently in the MBI program at Grantham University and is on track to graduate next October as a Magna Cum Laude.
