Mike Krilivsky

Boston, MA

Promoter and music industry veteran Mike Krilivsky owns several music and clothing companies in Boston, Massachusetts, including Red Blue Records. Mr. Krilivsky began his music career playing in the nu-metal band Intensify. He started his first record company, Serious Business Entertainment, to promote the band in 1998, at the age of 18. After five strong years, the band folded, and without its top act, the label then dissipated, but Mike Krilivsky went on to find success with Red Blue Records. Since 2006, the company has released 26 albums from bands including Ice Nine Kills, The Venetia Fair, Phone Calls From Home, Sound We Sleep, Gone Baby Gone, and more! In 2009, Mike Krilivsky built upon the network he had developed for his record label by becoming a promoter for Throwed. At the time, Throwed was a small, bimonthly party that catered to the hipster and indie music scenes. He asked the owners how he could get involved and soon began promoting the show through his contacts in the music industry. As he sold out show after show, Throwed expanded into larger venues and began working with larger events like Dayglow and Dub Nation. Today, Throwed regularly hosts parties in Boston, Cambridge, and Worcester, Massachusetts; Hartford and Wallingford, Connecticut; Providence, Rhode Island; and more! In addition to his business activities, Mike Krilivsky contributes to a number of charities. His clothing company, Let's Rage, designed shirts to benefit the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund after the 2011 earthquake in Japan. He took part in the Be Bold and Be Bald campaign to help raise cancer awareness and raise money for cancer research. Most recently, Let's Rage, Red Blue Records, and Throwed teamed up to donate their time to a local soup kitchen in Lowell, Massachusetts, and also give brand new, fresh T-shirts to the homeless. Mike Krilivsky is looking forward to participating in a dozen charitable events in 2012 that will bring all of the companies he is involved with together to improve the world.
