Photographer, Filmmaker, and Small Business Owner in York, United Kingdom

I spent 11 years co-running a media company in my home city of York, which helped people
and organisations tell their stories through video and 360 photography. I loved using media
to shine a light on community, culture, and best practices in self-managed organisations.

More recently, I trained as a productivity analyst and, since early 2024, I’ve been helping
businesses across the UK gather the data they need to make significant productivity gains.
I’m currently a contractor to Scott Grant and enjoying the opportunity to be part of teams
working across a diverse range of businesses and environments. Seeing and understanding
how different organisations operate has always interested me. My current role combines this
with exploring and capturing data and processes, which also ticks a lot of boxes for me.
I thrive on the challenge of finding new and more efficient ways of doing things. In other roles
I’ve built systems and processes that have helped organisations reduce admin time and
make significant cost savings.

I’m very interested in sociocracy as a means of decision making within organisations. I’m a
Certified Sociocracy Practitioner and working member of Sociocracy for All.

I’m also a York Sharks Wheelchair Basketball Club committee member. This role helps me be ap art of a self-organised group and allows me to live the life I believe in. For me, it's important to play sports, socialise and engage locally.
My route to York Sharks was via Pete at Wetwheels Yorkshire, who organised sponsored games with local businesses, and we all stuck around, fondly naming our club "the friendliest Wheelchair Basketball Club in York". Join us every Saturday at Fulford School and be the judge.
