Mike Leigh Cooper
Industrial Engineer, Productivity Analyst, and Sociocracy Facilitator in York, United Kingdom
As a Productivity Analyst, I help businesses across the UK gather precise operational data to unlock significant efficiency and productivity gains. My expertise is honed by an 11-year foundation in media production, where I focused on helping organisations tell compelling stories about community, culture, and best practices.
I currently contract with Scott-Grant, working across a diverse range of businesses and environments. My passion is observing and understanding operational dynamics, combining this with the exploration and capture of critical process data. I thrive on identifying and implementing new, more efficient ways of working. This focus has previously enabled organisations to reduce admin time and achieve significant cost savings.
Beyond pure efficiency, I am deeply interested in effective organisational governance. I specialise in Sociocracy as a transparent decision-making framework and am a Certified Sociocracy Facilitator and working member of Sociocracy for All.
My commitment to self-managed groups extends to my community involvement. As a committee member for the York Sharks Wheelchair Basketball Club, I actively participate in a vibrant, self-organised group. Local engagement, sports, and socialising are vital to the life I believe in, reinforcing my commitment to building strong, effective communities: a philosophy that I also apply to my work
I work hard to combine data with a deep respect for their people. This makes sure that when new ways of working are introduced, everyone in the organisation is on board and feels heard.
