Born in a small Tennessee community. Moved to Chattanooga area. Attended area schools. Served in military. Came home and went to undergraduate school (BA). Got married. Went to law school (JD). Held various positions in government, then went into private practice. Keen interest in history, politics, writing, poetry, photography. Love national parks, nature, animals (horses, dogs). Enjoy golf, hiking, skiing.
