Mike Mcgahan

Mike McGahan is the Chief Executive Officer and Trustee of Ottawa-based InterRent REIT and is the President and CEO of CLV Group, one of the largest private property management companies in Ottawa. He has over twenty-five years of experience in the real estate industry. Mike has successfully bought, sold, financed and managed many properties valued at more than $3 billion dollars and has personally organized many co-tenancies in the multi-residential class, with significant returns. He is also a registered Real Estate Agent with the Real Estate Board of Ottawa-Carleton and a registered Mortgage Broker.

Mike is working on adding new rental supply to the market by creating new purpose built rental apartment development in the Ottawa and Southern Ontario areas. This includes the well-known development of 900 Albert Street in Ottawa, located in the hub of Ottawa’s new LRT junction of the Confederation and Trillium Lines.

Prior to leading CLV Group, Mike McGahan worked at Regional Realty for five years. He then followed this by opening his own real estate and management corporation, Commvesco Group, in 1992, which he ran for 6 years prior to merging with Levinson-Viner Group which ultimately became CLV Group.

Mike values his clients and recognizes that trust and integrity are the driving forces behind operating a successful real estate business. Mike’s ethics were inspired many people, including the late Ron Kolbus and Jacie Levinson, who touched lives through their commitment to community service. The positive impact of giving back is what inspired Mike to do the same and include community involvement as a pillar in the culture of CLV Group and InterRent REIT.

Additionally, Mike and his team at CLV Group and InterRent REIT have been personally involved with several local and national charities, including The Boys and Girls Club, Snowsuit Fund, Dragon Boat Foundation, Hope Volleyball, the Youth Services Bureau, Habitat for Humanity and Christie Lake Kids. He and his team have also successfully raised funds for children at the Don McGahan Clubhouse in Ottawa’s east end and the Ron Kolbus Clubhouse in the west end. Mike is also on the Board of Directors for the Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
