Introduced to catering clearing tables progressing to spud bashing, but at least it got me to college for that classic old school chefs training french style.1968c.

Soon after and knowing that I wanted the top restaurant experience aged 22 yrs I found myself second then Head Chef for The Box Tree Restaurant ,Ilkley, sister restaurant Kildwick Hall, where the team gained 'Restaurant of the Year' from Egon Ronay in 1973. this was the top award of its day.
The 80s put me into the role as a Catering Lecturer, Craft Guild of Chefs PRO, Semi Finalist1980 Chef of the Year, and Consultant Chef for French bistro 'La Carafe'

Event and function catering in more recent years now leave me undertaking cooking for the fun of it.

Influenced originally by Grandmothers and mothers home cooking Yorkshire Dales style, with Ukraine and Polish Russian dishes through marraige and superb local asain restaurants, years of self catering holidays in France and the UK have left me with a passion for turning looking at food into creating dishes from it .
