Mike Sternoff

Mike is an Emmy winning Director and Videographer from Chicago. After graduating from the University of Montana in 2003 with a BA in broadcast producing and a minor in media arts, Mike moved to Chicago and began working in the news industry. He produced, shot and edited for Tribune Co.’s 24-hour news station, CLTV. In 2006, Mike moved to NBC/Telemundo where he covered everything from the Chicago Bears to the election of President Obama. Mike is on the adjunct teaching faculty at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism. He leads graduate and undergraduate classes in video production. Mike’s passion is video storytelling, which led him to direct his first documentary film in 2009, Under the Ice. The film screened at the Chicago United Film Festival and the St. Louis International Film Festival. Currently Mike is directing two new films, Kindrid and Echoes of Che.
