Michael Yakubov is running for his third term as 5th Ward Councilman in the Borough of Roselle Park. In the five years of service to the borough he has been instrumental with the municipal budget to reduce spending, grow shared services and has pushed for more grant monies from the county and state to sustain our infrastructure.
His additional contributions to the borough have created new revenue streams and increases in departmental productivity that have played a vital role in saving thousands of dollars to taxpayers.
This year Councilman Yakubov will be joining with the County of Union's initiative for small business development. His goal will be to provide effective resources to the lacking downtown corridor on Chestnut Street and Westfield Avenue. The implementation of the Special Improvement District has slowly begun the process of small business revival and will be opening doors for larger commercial chains to come to town.
Properties such as the former Sullivan Chevrolet area, Romerovski, Senior Housing on Webster Avenue and the old Domani's lot are keys to strengthening Roselle Park's core.
Join Councilman Yakubov as he works to serve as your voice on council, advocate for your hard earned money and push for downtown development.
