Mila Nikolić is an architect and urbanist with a European Ph.D./Sc.D. in Theory and History of Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona. She graduated from the University of Belgrade, and holds a postgraduate diploma in Inner City Development and Housing in Transitional Economies (Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies – Erasmus University Rotterdam) and specializations in Barcelona Architecture and Creative Management (UPC Foundation – BarcelonaTech).
Through over twenty years of international experience in academia and practice in the fields of architectural, urban and interior design, Dr. Nikolić specialized in cultural planning and in the design and programming of cultural infrastructure, focusing on its transformative capacity in the contemporary city. She is currently conducting a research on museum clusters and networks and on urban curating, and teaching architectural and urban design, theory, history, and criticism.
