Education: Mildred is a native Washingtonian, and attended the University of the District of Columbia where she obtained an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal studies. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Comprehensive Liberal Studies from Virginia Wesleyan University and currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Also, she is certified by the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business in Post- Crisis Leadership and a graduate of HR Summer School.

Career: Mildred’s work experience includes federal and local government, contracting, and non-profit. Her proven leadership skills, a strong commitment to high ethical and professional standards, and flexibility in devising proactive responses in agile environments allow her to develop corporate cultures rooted in I.D.E.A.

Volunteerism/Membership:Mildred is truly committed to serving the community through her volunteerism. In 2019, Mildred received the distinction of serving 20 years as a Girl Scout and Girl Scout Volunteer. In addition, she has served in multiple leadership roles at the American Red Cross and volunteered with Project GiveBack since 2006. She is also an active member of HR Girlfriends.

Personal Story: Mildred resides in Washington, D.C. with her mother and daughter and is the ancestor of Paul Jennings who entitled A Colored Man's Reminiscences of James Madison, which is considered the first memoir about life at the White House. She spends her time practicing yoga to manage the complexities of work-life balances, advocates for BIPOC’s, girls and women through social activism, regularly attends ballet performances by the Dance Theater of Harlem, Alvin Ailey, and binge-watching shows such as 100 Humans, National Geographic, and NCIS. Mildred’s favorite artists include Phyllis Hyman, Stevie Wonder, and Gipsy Kings.
