Milton is a recent graduate from the University of Redlands with a Master's in Music Education, and a former graduate of the University of California, Davis with a double Bachelor's of Arts in Ethnomusicology, History & Theory, as well as African-American & African Studies. He is also the former co-host of the popular hip-hop radio show ATF Radio: All Things Fresh on KDVS 90.3FM; a former Music Director of The Afterglow of UC Davis, and currently performs, plays, and teaches as a session guitarist, vocalist, and pianist locally in the Inland Empire, Orange County, and Los Angeles areas. A classically-trained bass-baritone with a four-octave range, Milton has developed a love for music, culture and entertainment writing, having contributed to the TakeLessons Teacher Blog for over two years and the newly-begun Hone Collective in 2016. Milton - also known by his stage name Major K - is currently looking to help train vocalists, pianists, guitarists and music producers young and old realize their full musical potential in addition to expanding his journalistic and editorial reach.
