Mindaugas Vadoklis

Born in Vilnius /Lithuania, in 1979, Mindaugas Vadoklis started to play classical trumpet at the age of 11. After high school, the young musician entered jazz studies at Klaipėda University, jazz faculty (the oldiest in LT). From the first steps in jazz world he started playing with various Lithuanian jazz bands, local and foreign jazz artists and performing as a solo player together with big bands. After bachelor studies in Klaipėda, Mindaugas moved to Vilnius and entered Lithuania Music and Theater Academy. For 2 years he has been teaching jazz trumpet in the same academy. Mindaugas Vadoklis has played in many festivals and famous concert halls all around Europe, to mention Palau de Musica in Barcelona, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Euskalduna Conference Centre and Concert Hall in Bilbao, Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, Palau de la Música i Congressos de Valencia in Valencia, Concertgebouw Brugge in Bruges, „Moods“ in Zurich and many others. He has been touring with various jazz projects in Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Holland,Denmark. Switzerland, Russia, Ukraine, Baltic States and etc. Mindaugas Vadoklis is a diverse musician, playing in different musical styles with various bands, like a sideman and like a leading performer. Therefore,styles of Mindaugas discography are very colourful: from mainstream, experimental, electric to hip-hop, funk, reggae and salsa... Mindaugas has been performing with “D’orange”, „Baltic Salsa Orchestra“, „A.I.R. funk orchestra“, „Dedication to Ornette Coleman“ , „Herbie Kopf Quintet Swillit“, project " The Kicker "- Sound of the horns, Lithuania - Latvia - Italy – Indonesia, played with musicians, such as Kenny Wollesen, Jonathan Haffner, Dalius Naujo, Herby Kopf, Retto Zuchner, Robin Aristorenas, Fulvio Buccafusco, Fabrizio Brusca, Goran Krmac, Bilal Karaman, Darius Rudis, Marius Aleksa, Liudas Mockūnas, Arkady Gotesman, Kęstutis Vaiginis, Domas Aleksa and many others.
