M. X. K. T.
Santa Barbara, CA
Life began when I came out of my mother.
From then on I lived in Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam. My dad was from Nha Trang, a beach city in Viet Nam, where we would go every summer until I moved to California.
After many standard examinations and visiting the beautiful beachfront campus, I chose the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) as my home for the next four years. Needless to say, it was the best four years of my life.
While at UCSB, I majored in Environmental Science with emphases in Physics and Geography, helped start the Delta Psi Chapter of Delta Tau Delta National Fraternity, researched in a nanotechnology lab for a short period of time, studied abroad at the University of Sydney, traveled to New Zealand and Viet Nam, and came back to UCSB and helped started the Next Generation Summit (www.nextgenerationsummit.com).
While abroad I realized that happiness comes from fulfillment; living life to its fullest. This may be overstated but life is all about having fun, and spontaneity is the icing on the cake.
In the future, I want to be the voice for millions of people that are affected by environmental degradation, and raise awareness about global issues that affect the well being of future generations.
As of right now, I am currently a Jr. Marketing Director at Blue Ocean Sciences embarking on an adventure to empower you with the tools to be awared of how clean your local water is. So come along and follow me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!
