Miranda Kiek

London

Since graduating from Oxford with a Masters degree in Eighteenth-Century Literature, I have been working as freelance journalist – specialising in articles on books and theatre – and as a part-time teacher. I regularly contribute to The Independent and The Guardian Film Blog and have written for The Guardian, BBC World Service and the Cambridge Quarterly. I won the runners-up prize in the prestigious Allen Wright Award for journalists under 30 in 2012 and recently came first in The Guardian's 'Be a Film Critic' competition.
