Miranda Philbin

I have over six years experience in human resources, recruiting, management, working for a small family owned company at the ground level, through their growth and expansion in various markets and states. I am responsible for all exempt and non exempt level recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, on-boarding, benefits administration, and performance management. I ensure all processes, policies, and documentation are compliant and I also handle unemployment claims, and attend hearings when necessary.

When I'm not working my full-time position, I work with my husband on his catering and pop up restaurant company, called Peculiar Culinary Company. I am responsible for reservations, scheduling, managing servers, oversee inventory and ordering of food, equipment, and supplies. I'm also responsible for accounting, marketing, etc. Although I wear many hats, the main goal is to ensure that our customers have an exceptional dining experience.

I also enjoy getting involved with community events and fundraisers. Some recent events and committee's include: s TheTaste of Pittston Library fundraiser, The Greater Pittston St Patricks Parade & Festival, and Peculiar Music Festival fundraiser for Jefferson Park.
