I studied philology in AIC University in Iasi, Romania, am married and living in Beirut, Lebanon, where I teach English language and literature and Romanian language, civilization and culture.

I am interested in consciousness and mind as fundamental aspects of reality. From my very subjective experience, corroborated with an objective, edge science interpretation of reality, I came to believe that reality is a complex network of interacting systems regulated by universal, self-organizing patterns. These patterns act as evolutionary programs operating "at the edge of chaos"; that is, evolution only happens during, or as a result of crisis, when critical circumstances create extreme instability inside the system. By this definition, crisis is the necessary condition for transformation and adaptation.

I had my own share of years of crisis and depression, during which some weird experiences caused me to go far and wide in search for answers consistent enough to convince my resisting mind, shaped in the materialistic worldview, of the evidence: we are not limited to the material body, and our mind is not confined to, and is not the product of the brain, as currently "ascertained" by mainstream science.

Psychiatrist and depth analyst C.G. Jung uses for psychological crisis the term: "metanoia", and he describes it as "a spontaneous attempt of the psyche to heal itself of unbearable conflict by melting down and then being reborn in a more adaptive form". I can tell from experience that it is crisis what snatches us away from our everyday comforts, jolts us to a rough road of struggle, pain and transformation, only to deliver us. The greatest challenge in life, I believe, is meeting the inner self with its goods and its bads and coming to terms with it; it may not be easy, but it’s the journey of our life.

About this journey of breaking-down of old identity, about the road of trials and self-discovery through crisis, about its outcome I am currently writing a spiritual memoir that I intend to publish.

My writing, both in my blog and in my other works, is an attempt at restoring sense and meaning, a message of hope for our collective journey. Somewhere in this world, wherever you are, you, too, may be already engaged in the process of emergent evolution known as the "evolution of Consciousness": let's do it consciously.
