Profile

I am looking for a position that will take me to the next level of my career, utilising my administration, customer service, support experience, and leadership skills, while providing me with more experience and knowledge in other areas. I have a strong understanding of effective communication and confidentiality, as well as having a sensitive approach when dealing with individuals and complex situations.

I am proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, Customer Relations Management Systems (CRM) and SharePoint. I recently undertook training in the use of Dynamics 365 for procurement purposes.

My previous role as correspondence and enquiry officer at the National Guardian Office led me to support the National Guardian, Director of Operations, and colleagues, but also to be the first point of contact for stakeholders. I took pride in ensuring correspondence was acknowledged and responded to promptly with a high-quality response. Logging information on SharePoint and monitoring the correspondence from all departments has provided experience in analysing and interpreting information, allowing me to create trackers that collate information for our stakeholders and board. My ability to triage correspondence, dealing with urgent correspondence in the first instance, as well as escalating when necessary, demonstrates my commitment to maintaining care and support. All correspondence is handled with the utmost respect for privacy in accordance with policies and procedures. When we had junior members join the team, it was my responsibility to ensure that they knew where they could find the policies and procedures, as well as to mentor them in their role. On days when we were busy, I delegated tasks to junior members in order that we could fulfil the business needs to deadline. Interacting with our stakeholders at team meetings, webinars, and at our annual conference was an enjoyable part of my role.

My experience at the Care Quality Commission as a customer service administrator within the National Customer Service department, particularly on the Safety Escalation Team, developed my skills in managing sensitive information, working closely with vulnerable adults and their families, and ensuring their concerns and complaints were directed to the appropriate Compliance Inspector. Telephone calls and emails also required me to work with various stakeholders, including local authorities and police. All enquiries were processed depending on their urgency. I received training in the Mental Health Act, which prepared me to deal with sensitive calls and to signpost individuals to the right resources when necessary.

Throughout my career, I have developed an understanding of policy and procedures as well as working within organisations that have included Diversity, Inclusion, and Wellbeing and attendance management. I have actively participated in projects that focused on risk assessment and the implementation of inclusive practices within the workplace.

I have provided support and advice to colleagues regarding policies and processes, ensuring compliance and understanding across the organisation. My ability to communicate this information in a simple manner has allowed staff to navigate these policies effectively. I am passionate about promoting equality and diversity in the workplace and have worked to ensure that these are embedded in my own aspects of work, both past and present.

In addition to my administrative roles, I have volunteered in various education settings, where I have supervised volunteers and provided guidance to new team members. This has reinforced my belief in teamwork and collaboration in achieving organisation goals. I also took on some teaching responsibilities, which enhanced my communication skills and my ability to engage with diverse groups of people.

I am committed to my own personal and professional development and eager to undertake any training that will enhance my skills further. My qualifications in NCFE Level 2 Understanding Mental Health and Advocacy in the Workplace, including Level 3 in coaching and mentoring and a Level 4 certificate to teach in the lifelong learning sector, as well as my current study as well as self-study in business management and leadership skills, show my dedication to continuous learning and development.

I am excited to contribute to an organisation that values diversity, inclusion, and the well-being of its staff. Want to know more? Please get in touch.
