I was born in 70s communist East Germany, played soccer for most of my childhood and adolescence, then discovered books (thanks, Mum!), and studied law in Hamburg, Nanjing and Harvard collecting bachelor, master and PhD degrees in law. After a brief stint of being a lawyer in Beijing, I discovered my true passion as an entrepreneur. I co-founded a retail business - TWICE Fashion Accessories - which has taken me on an amazing journey with all the highs and lows. I am a member of the Beijing chapter of EO. I have lived the last 13 years in China and Beijing has become home to me, my Chinese wife Tina and our sons Magnus and Linus.
