Hello & Welcome!!

I recently completed the IDEX Accelerator Program, a social enterprise fellowship based in Bangalore, India! Over six months I learned the ins and outs of social enterprise while working for women’s empowerment. My placement organization was the socially riveting Shenomics, a coaching platform helping women achieve professional and personal success.

I am relocating to the Bay Area, and I'm open to any and all connections (also job opportunities, haha)! You can read more about me below, or visit my website!

BACKGROUND:

My life has been equal parts American and Bangladeshi, Muslim and Christian, soul food and curry. A little confusing, but at least it was always delicious. I was born and raised in a small, very Christian, quintessentially southern town in Georgia. I was born to a family of Muslim Bengali immigrants. Because of the intense juxtaposition within my upbringing, I have always been compelled to search for the similarities between people, cultures, and religions.

EDUCATION:

When I first moved to Boston to begin my college career, I knew all of two people in the entire city. Coming from my small town, “Where everybody is somebody,” this was quite a leap.

Call it fate or faith, but I did it. And I am so glad I did.

At Boston University I was exposed to so much of this vast and wonderful world. There, my drive to understand people evolved into a need to help and connect them. I studied International Relations with a minor in business and began to slowly piece together my purpose. After graduating, I began working in US immigration law. While I enjoyed my work, I knew I could be doing more. Thus I packed my things and embarked on an intensive social enterprise fellowship in Bangalore India. See above.

PERSONAL MANIFESTO:

I believe in the inherent goodness of people and this world. The heart of life is good. I believe in the healing powers of family and friendship. If we invest in our neighbors and expand our global family, no problem is too big or small. I exist to create, connect communities, make peace, and sow seeds of love.
