Vanessa Mishels

I have been in the recruiting business for a over 20 years, starting with Interim Personnel then within a few years I moved myself onto managing my own on-site at Stanford University. During the peak "dotcom" era, I recruited directly in Silicon Valley, supporting many technology, engineering, semi-conductor, and dotcom start-ups.

In 2001, I relocated to Illinois from San Francisco, CA. Once in Illinois, I worked for an online Real Estate firm, just getting its start. My role was to source and hire real estate agents with a very different model, as the agents were employees vs. 1099 contractors. They received benefits, leads, and training and were also provided on-site support from a broker in each market.

Once I left Zip Realty, I moved to HSBC supporting all corporate roles for their home office. Currently, I am a Manager with Aon Hewitt and I couldn't be happier. I directly oversee a group of savvy Sourcers supporting our client, Marriott International. We provide all sourcing activities around corporate roles and across many disciplines for all in-scope management opportunities in the Marriott organization.

In my downtime, I love to run, read and cook gourmet meals for my husband and two beautiful sons.
