Mishka Hoosen is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy in May 2011, and went on to do an MA in Creative Writing at Rhodes University in South Africa. She is currently working on a Masters degree in Anthropology, while working on a number of writing projects.
She is a literary blogger for Ploughshares and a poetry editor for The Missing Slate. Her first book, Call it a difficult night, was published by Deep South Books in 2015.
