I would like to introduce myself as a techno-commercial forestry professional with an aggregate work experience of around six years in various roles in the forestry sector.

  • Currently, I am working as a Research Assistant (Intern) at The Green Branch (NL) dealing with the carbon pool and biomass growth analysis and design and implementation of a mixed economic forest zone for carbon capture and commercial timber production for FSC certification and VCS/CCB certification.
  • I worked as a Timber purchaser and a Production Executive in a Plywood company in India for about two years, later I switched to another company in Logging and Forest Operations in Liberia (West Africa) as a forestry Manager in the department of Timber Legality and Chain of Custody.
  • I also worked for another six months to support the same company as Technical Advisor after leaving the job to support the new team. Later on, I took up a new opportunity to work with a Teak Plantation Operations company in Ghana as Head of Forest Operations for about one year.
  • During my jobs in Liberia and Ghana I worked closely with the government bodies and different third parties in the preparation of Forest Management Plans for Sustainable Forest Management, this gave me thorough experience in Forest Supply chain management, round log purchase and sales, and Plantation Procurement.
  • Furthermore, another significant experience in Liberia was the development and implementation of a mobile application for offline/online data flow management for more than 400,000+ ha of forests in West Africa, for the National Resources Development's Chain of Custody project (Digitisation of the forestry data).
  • I successfully prepared the plans for forest inventories, harvesting requests, annual and strategic forest management year plans, export permit requests, timber shipment and sales, and worked with wood-based composite, veneer production, and saw-milling in India.
  • Apart from my work, I also like nature photography, trekking and hiking in mountains, and Taxonomy of plants. I love playing badminton and chess in my leisure time. I also contribute to Social activities like providing financial support for the education of deprived students and women empowerment of forest-based communities in India.
