It gives me most joy to see my students turn their wonder into a reality. With many not knowing how to thread a machine or wind a bobbin, they are very quickly creating beautiful garments for themselves, their children and their friends.

I teach sewing and dressmaking to absolute beginners and also run classes for those with a basic sewing knowledge. Sewing has been my life as my mother (Mary) and grandmother (Zakaria) were fabulous sewers. When I say fabulous, I mean perfect. Their work was amazing and their creativity and style was (and still is) always admired.

After working on the craft market scene I realised there was a need for someone to teach sewing to those who have a hidden creative side. Miss Mary Sewing Classes has been going strong for 6 years and I look forward to many more...I have so many ideas to share.

Like a lot of you out there I juggle work with my family, I have three children that keep me on my toes and I always find time to do the things that keep me calm. I love Pilates, running, walking, yoga and Im new to stand up paddling.
