Lockyer Valley, Queensland, Australia

Born in Sarina, Queensland, Australia, I lived a somewhat nomadic life in my early years as my father followed work around the countryside. My earliest memories are filled with images of the wild places and open spaces. We lived in a caravan in the 'bush' or in camps as we moved from site to site during the great railway building days of the late 60's. Infrastructure for the opening up of the future coal mines throughout Queensland.

Throughout the rest of my childhood I attended many schools and I learnt quickly to adapt to new challenges and environments. I left the family nest at 17 to throw myself upon world. Along the way I had a couple of children. One boy, One girl. Now adults.

I'm a creative soul and I'm compelled to use my hands to make things. Whether, my first attempts at embroidery at age 8, sewing my family clothes while a stay at home mum, or more recently staining my hands with paint and ink, I get a lot of personal satisfaction from just having a go.

I'm now settled in the Lockyer Valley, running my own mobile coffee business. I'm living in a great part of the world, loving what I do.
