Missy LeKtro

Marguerite aka missy lektro has been a DJ in Austin TX since May 2004; graduated from UT with a Bachelors in radio/tv/film May 2005; went to study abroad for three months at Point Blank Music College in London (Aug.-Nov. '05) where I earned my professional DJ certification. DJed my first gig at Matt & Matt Bar in north London. Upon my return to the states, I got my first resident DJ spot at the old Light Bar at 4th & Congress (Nov.'05-May'06); also held residency at Latitude 30 (2007) and Headhunters Tiki Bar (2008-back patio), and have played at several Austin clubs like Terrace 59 (speakeasy rooftop), One 2 One, Copa, Plush, Karma Lounge, Ego's, Kingdom, Loft 718, Red7, Hotel Vegas and Pine Street Station. Attended Berklee Music College (2009-2011) and earned Masters Certificate in Music Business and Technology. MissyLeKtro co-founded Kardiac Records Project (KRP) in 2012 in an effort to give back to the (East) Austin community through music, technology, and the creative arts. As a fiscally-sponsored project under the umbrella of the Austin Creative Alliance (ACA), KRP operates as a non-profit with 501(c)3 tax exemption status.
