I'm Melissa, I'm a queer Australian wanting to express myself through my writing.

I have studied a Certificate IV in Professional Writing and Editing (not finished), Certificate IV in Library and Information Services and a Diploma in Library and Information Services. I'm a recent graduate of RMIT with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing.

In 2014, I wrote an essay titled 'Abortion: an Ethical Thought' a philosophical essay on why I believe in the freedom of choice, it was featured in Holmesglen's press house and my coming out story in a local Melbourne zine called Alex.

I hope to become an editor and writer. I'd love to be traditionally published or online. I want to write sci-fi, low/urban fantasy, young adult novels, as well as essays both philosophically and autobiographically. I've entered National Novel Writing Month for six years now, winning in 2016, 2017, 2018.

In the meantime, I'm a massive nerd who talks about Marvel and comics, DND, and any TV or movie I'm obsessed with at the time. I play way too many video games and focus on their story rather than the gameplay.
