Misty Mahuika

A fashion model turned entrepreneur, Misty Mahuika currently serves as founder and president of Paddle Surf Hong Kong, a company that distributes stand up paddle boarding products throughout Hong Kong and Asia. She takes responsibility for quality control by maintaining close relationships with manufacturers and traveling to factories to ensure the craftsmanship and quality of her company’s products. Prior to founding Paddle Surf Hong Kong, Misty Mahuika worked as a fashion model for more than two decades.

Misty Mahuika began her career as a model in Portland, Oregon, where she was a print, commercial, and runway model. She was then signed by a modeling agency in Honolulu, where she spent the next five years, followed by modeling assignments in Tokyo and Paris. Ms. Mahuika also worked in Innsbruck, Austria, as an assistant to the president of Ticket to Ride Snowboard Events, the world’s largest snowboard tour contest company. Unable to resist the calling of her first love and passion, water sports, she founded Paddle Surf Hong Kong in 2012.

Ms. Mahuika maintains an active lifestyle outside of her professional life and enjoys scuba diving, skydiving, and tae kwon do. She also spends much of her time volunteering for environmental, wildlife, and animal rights organizations. A few of the organizations that she supports include the Surfrider Foundation and the Hawaiian Humane Society.
