Misty Sanico

I am a freelance writer, blogger and social media/content manager from Oahu, Hawaii. I co-founded a local literary website, HawaiiReads.com, to promote our unique literary culture here in the islands. I have been published in Bamboo Ridge and contribute regularly to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and other publications.

For six years I’ve been involved in a children’s literacy nonprofit called First Book Oahu. I served as Board Director for one year and the rest as Public Relations and Media Manager. I am an active member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators-Hawaii Chapter.
