Mitch Fisk
EARLY BEGINNINGS
I was born in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin as the second child of Betty and Duane Fisk. I have an older brother Matt and a younger brother Mark. Our days were filled with school, friends, sports and church.
SCHOOL
I attended Valley Christian School from 1st grade through graduation and was involved in everything there was to be involved with in a small Christian school. I started on the varsity soccer team as a 6th grader and varsity basketball as an 8th grader, not so much due to my athletic prowess, but because there was a need for a certain amount of players on the field.
COLLEGE
I attended Crown College where I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with Minors in History, Counseling and Bible. I was active in student government serving as a Junior Class Member-at-Large, Student Body Vice Presdient and Student Body President my Senior year.
I also participated in Football and Soccer at the intercollegiate level, lettering in both sports and being named Defensive Player of the Year in Soccer my Senior year. It was at Crown that I met my soon-to-be wife, April Sherbet.
I also received my Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Crown College.
FAMILY
In August of 1997 I married April Sherbet and many would say that I "married up" as I am very blessed to have such a beautiful, smart, caring and funny wife.
We have three children: Micah Mitchell, born in May of 2001; Morgan April, born in August of 2002; and Macie April, born in February of 2004. While the step of marriage is a change in your life, having children is a transformational change. I have heard it said that being a parent is like having your heart outside of your body and I connect with that statement.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
I started my professional career in 1998 when I started working for Crown College as the Recruitment Program Manager in the Admissions Office. I spent the next nine years at Crown serving in numerous roles with the final role as Director of Admissions.
I left Crown to accept the position of Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing at San Diego Christian College, where I served for almost 5 years.
CURRENT
We relocated to Plano, Texas, seeking the opportunity to be closer to family and I am currently seeking employment in the faith-based, non-profit realm. Our story continues...
