A member of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, Mitch Dettloff constantly expands his knowledge of the hospitality industry through networking, resources, and other educational opportunities. Mitch Dettloff has worked in the hotel and restaurant industry for 30 years, spending the past 15 years at the executive level. Mitch Dettloff launched his career in fine dining where he worked his way up the ranks from busboy to runner to front waiter and then eventually as a Captain and Maître'd. In these positions Mitch Dettloff became experienced and skilled in various service styles and techniques along with wine and table-side cooking, preparation and service. Mitch Dettloff brought these skills with him as a Maitre'd when he opened the Georgian Room, a five star, five diamond dining room at the Ritz Carlton Huntington Hotel in Los Angeles, California. From there Mitch Dettloff furthered his career as Director of the Dining Room at the infamous Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. From there Mitch Dettloff moved to Honolulu, Hawaii where he served as Senior General Manager for Restaurants Unlimited, where he oversaw Ryan's Grill and Opened Palomino Honolulu. While in Hawaii Mitch Dettloff was asked to take the Lead in the Palomino Brand by mentoring General Managers in the opening of Palomino Denver and Dallas. In addition, Mitch Dettloff spent ten years in Reno, Nevada, where served as Director of Food and Beverage at the Grand Sierra Resort and Director of Hotel Operations at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino from 2004 to 2014. In these roles, Mitch Dettloff directed operations, finances, and human resources for multiple outlets at these mega properties. Prior experience in Nevada had Mitch Dettloff functioning as Director of Operations at the Rainforest Cafe at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mitch Dettloff is also a graguate from the American College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, where he earned a degree in Food and Beverage Management. .
