A fair question would be, “How did you get yourself in such a predicament?”, perhaps “Where could you possibly be in this picture” or even “Surely there's no way you're qualified to work on such an expensive looking machinery, right?”.

Well, to answer the first and second questions, I got myself chest-to-starter duct with a TF-34 engine of an A-10 aircraft all because I wanted a Computer Science degree. As for the last question, I am in fact a level 5 certified “Aerospace Propulsionist” for the USAF. So yes, I am more than qualified.

Hello everyone, my name is Mitch and when I am not sitting in a classroom chasing a degree in computer science, I am a USAF reservist and specialize as a jet engine mechanic for the infamous Warthog A-10 aircraft. I elected specifically for this job because of my background and fascination with internal combustion engines, and my curiosity about how in the world we get this 25,000-pound titanium tub to fly up to 420mph at staggering altitudes reaching 45,000 feet.

All that being said, I now prefer to focus on my studies and develop my ability to become a better student. While I retain my mechanical knowledge of the TF-34, I only practice said knowledge once a month.
