I am a computer systems researcher and passionate about performance modeling. I thrive on understanding the complex interactions of underlying hardware and software and runtime. I am interested in modeling and tuning high performance computer architectures, parallel applications and tweaking algorithm to get every ounce of peak performance.

I have been working for several years in big compute, big data and high performance computing. The deluge of data with increasing global connectivity and challenging energy issues have pushed the limits of our compute capability. These and many technological issues have lead to looking at ways to mitiage the expected diminishing returns from moores law. I believe that we will solve these in the near term by heterogneous systems that have cpus, gpus, and accelerators. The data deluge also means that we have to solve larger problems and we shall see innovations in memory and storage designs. I like to network with folks who are interested in investigating and creating the future !!
