Mithat Nokić

Born on 8 April 1962 in Novi Pazar where he attended primary and high school. Started his studies on the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade where he remained up until 1988.
Returned to his hometown Novi Pazar in 1992 where he started a company named “Cocolo” which included a print shop and three bookstores.
Married with two daughters.
Has been fond of nature and a passionate fisherman since his early days.
During his fishing journeys throughout Serbia it became obvious that rivers are being more endangered by inhuman acts of polluters and fish thieves which made him decisive to fight against environmental destruction, fish thieves and ecocide.
Has started an association named “Eco Family” along with his like-minded comrades and became an active protector of endangered environment and a fighter against fish thieves.
After two years of ecological activism he realized that without politics, political strife and adoption of necessary legal regulations within environmental protection it was impossible to make any significant changes which was the reason he became a member of Green Party.
After the Green Party has been shut down he and a group of associates and ecological activists became founders of the Green Ecological Party – Greens which currently represents the only “green” political option of the Serbian political scene.
His life motto is to “bring people and nature together”.
Has no personal interest in politics, because he lives his own politics.
