Michael Weintraub
New Haven, CT
I am a Predoctoral Fellow at Yale University’s Program on Order, Conflict, and Violence (2013-2014) and a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Government at Georgetown University.
My interests lie at the intersection of comparative politics and international security, with a focus on armed group behavior in civil war, electoral mechanisms in divided societies, ethnicity and patronage politics, and quantitative and qualitative research methods. I have regional interests in Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa.
I have articles published or forthcoming in Conflict Management and Peace Science, Terrorism and Political Violence, the Journal of Theoretical Politics, and Critical Review, and papers with a Revise and Resubmit at the Journal of Peace Research and Security Studies.
