Over 20 years in broadcast and print journalism, but not slowing down any time soon.
Available for freelance, telecommute projects, including blogs, print, broadcast news, feature stories, voice overs, voice talent.
I enjoy writing features that tell the human story and how one can get involved to make their little corner of the world a better place. But am also experienced in doing straight news stories.
I've worked in broadcast news as a writer/producer for a major news network as well as for local market TV news. I've also written for magazines and newspapers on a freelance basis.
In addition, I spent a number of years working in Marketing Communications for a major telecommunications company where I created ad campaigns for trade publications, edited and wrote sales slicks and other training material. At one point I also served as editor for a quarterly magazine for a national franchisee association.
For the past six years or so, I've also had my own blog that focuses on my side interest, animal welfare. I've spent many years volunteering with a number of animal rescue groups and have won awards for my work in pet rescue and placement.
In addition to writing, I've worked as on air talent for a number of radio stations. I also do voice over work for radio stations around the U.S. as well as narrated documentaries and acted as voice over talent for audio productions.
