Michael Bergeron
Teacher and Musician in Kingston, Ontario, Canada
I am a Kingston, Ontario, Canada-based teacher who is interested in the arts, especially music and literature. I was educated in London at the University of Western Ontario, where I got my degrees in Honors Music Education and English Literature, and now I am pursuing my love of teaching by seeking a career in a high school setting. I am a classically trained vocalist with a background in both solo and choral performance.
As an educator, I am passionate about starting music programs in schools that don't already have them, because I believe that music offers students and teachers alike the opportunity to grow and take away real-world skills that can be applied in every facet of life.
I think that I represent what is new and fresh in Canadian education in the fields of Music and English, because I draw from a vast array of personal experiences to inform my teaching. I relate to my students because I've been where they are, and I have experience how the education system has worked for and against them. Students can rely on me to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, and I have worked with many different students this far in my career, so my outlook is supportive and accepting without reserve.
Send me an email if you'd like to view my resume and hear more about my professional goals, I'd love to show you why I'm the best candidate for a job in teaching.
