When I was sixteen, my family sold our farm, and we moved to the city. I promised myself I'd get back to the country some day. Now that our two sons are grown, my husband and I embraced that dream together: We recently bought a small country property and house, which we've named Lakehouse Farm. We'll be two-timing it between the city and the country for a spell, while we remodel our home and establish (and pay-off) our little homestead. But getting back to the land is a dream come true -- and oh-so inspiring! In this new phase of life, not only is my inner FARM GIRL jumping up and down celebrating, the WRITER and ARTIST in me are finally finding their way too. Life is good. Keep it coming. Live fearless.
