Matt Thomas
librarian in Stratford, ON, Canada
LIBRARIAN: Currently the eResources Librarian (and the Temporary Head, Information Resources) at Wilfrid Laurier University, I've been a professional librarian since 2001, working in both public and academic libraries, with experience in reference service, collection management, cataloguing, instruction, liaison, and supervision. My research and professional interests include information ethics, electronic resource management, collection value, social media, and LIS education and perceptions.
PARENT: I have two grown-up children, who I'm very proud of. They're smart, creative, and just good people. They are simply the best!
NERD: As if being a librarian isn't nerdy enough, I also like science fiction (e.g. Asimov, Star Trek, Doctor Who, etc.), gaming (e.g. WoW, LOTRO, Minecraft, Fallout, Assassin's Creed, etc.), and graphic novels (e.g. Batman, Batgirl, Iron Man, etc.). I also own a bow tie.
In addition to the social media links below, I'm also at Laurier, Laurier Library, Blogger, MySpace, LibraryThing, and League of Comic Geeks.
