Matthew White

Hi. My name’s Matt. I love technology, writing and French. Oh, and coffee. I really love coffee. I can frequently be found in a coffee shop reading or writing a short story. At other times, I’m studying computer networking, or exercising my (limited) Python programming skills.

I’ve worn multiple professional hats, including staff writer, English teacher, computer teacher, and technology coordinator. Each of these positions have posed their own challenges, and provided the opportunity for me to grow professionally.

I have found success in each of these positions. As a staff writer for a small newspaper, I was able to provide in-depth coverage of multiple communities. As an English teacher, I built important relationships with my students and motivated them to succeed. Nearly 100 percent of my students passed state-mandated graduation tests in both reading and writing. As a technology coordinator, I kept a school network that spanned multiple servers and more than 350 computers operating smoothly.

My professional values include teamwork, adaptability, and continuous learning. I enjoy problem-solving and deploying innovate solutions. I also value building relationships with my co-workers, and I find great personal satisfaction from completing job-tasks well.

I am ready to take on a new challenge, and believe I would be a strong addition to any team.
