Mkaio, aka Matthew Kammerer, is an indie electronic producer and performer in the US. Sneaking into his father's music studio at age ten, Mkaio began writing electronic music and producing remixes and original tracks for years. DJing dances and house parties in Hawaii, Mkaio crafted his own sound, and produced underground records for several friends. He also began releasing indie remixes and mashups, several of which gained international attention and acclaim.

Mkaio's music does not conform to any style or convention, but rather plays on audio archetypes & expectations, fusing field recordings, acoustic performances, electronic elements & engineering occasionally with vocals and lyrics. The music on his records is designed to be both exciting and soulful, an insight into an artist hoping to explore something more, and share that discovery with a listener. Recorded over three years as a personal project - written, recorded, produced and engineered in the bedroom of his apartment, Mkaio invites you to listen to his chronicle of life, death, love, heartbreak, new discoveries and looking out to new Far Off Horizons.
